It is with great sadness that we have to report disgraceful scenes from a recent match featuring Roger Casement’s GAC Portglenone.

The Under-21 game in question was being played in excellent spirit until a rumour circulated that free alcohol was being dispensed at one end of the ground.

Such was the excitement aroused in one Portglenone player, he charged towards the free drink and careered into a small child dressed in a red sailor-suit, rendering his victim unconscious.

It is believed the injured party may never be able to look his mates in the face ever again.
