MLA, David McIlveen MLA who recently improved road safety on the Gortfad Road to improve Gortfad Road safety, stumbled into more controversy this week with the announcement of his plans to hold a constituency surgery in Portglenone.
Initially the road safety improving MLA had claimed the surgery was to be held in the community centre but when directions were issued, it transpired that he intended to run the event in The River Bann on top of a giant red poppy.
